New Group

New groups can be added to the system.

Unique Group Name

A group name must be unique to the system, otherwise, an error will be returned.

Privileges

A group may have a set of privileges. For more information, read “User/Group Privileges”.

Groups

A group may belong to one or more groups.

The group inherits all privileges and accesses from all parent groups.

If the “Account Enabled” is disabled on any parent group, the group’s account is disabled, including all members (both direct and indirect).

Members

A group may have members, members can be other users, or groups.

Note, avoid cyclic references of parent/child groups.
